Rotator cuff injuries are common among many individuals, not just those involved in sports or activities. The rotator cuff is a group of four very important muscles and their tendons that surround the shoulder joint, providing stability and enabling a wide range of motion. Injuries to the rotator cuff can range from strains, tendinitis, tendinosis, bursitis to tears, leading to pain, weakness, and limited mobility in the affected shoulder.
Common symptoms of rotator cuff injury include difficulty and pain caused by raising your arm, popping or clicking sounds or sensations when moving your arm, shoulder pain that worsens at night or when resting your arm, shoulder weakness and struggling to lift items.
This means that many daily activities like combing your hair or getting dressed, may become painful and difficult to do so.
