Frozen Shoulder

EBS Physiotherapy can help you get better

Understanding Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a painful and debilitating condition that affects the shoulder joint, resulting in stiffness and restricted range of motion. It typically occurs in three stages: freezing, frozen, and thawing, each with varying degrees of pain and mobility limitations/ stiffness. The exact cause of frozen shoulder is not always clear, but it can be associated with underlying medical conditions, such as diabetes or thyroid disorders, or triggered by an injury, surgery, or prolonged immobilisation. As physiotherapists, we are experienced in the assessment and treatment of frozen shoulders, early diagnosis and intervention is key to preventing a full blown frozen shoulders. Our comprehensive approach includes manual therapy, targeted exercises, and pain management strategies to alleviate discomfort, restore mobility.

We have the resources to be able to offer shockwave therapy which has great evidence and results to help or if needed refer onwards for a cortico-steroid injection: as this at the correct time and early can have huge benefits.

what client says about us

I had been suffering from chronic back pain for years and had tried various treatments with little to no success. That all changed when I started working with Ebs Physiotherapy. Their deep understanding of the causes of back pain and the expertise in treating it have made all the difference. After only a few sessions, I noticed significant improvement in my pain levels and increased mobility. He is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for effective relief from back pain.
